Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers from our engineering team — no sales fluff. Updated 2026.

Buying & Sizing

How do I know which breaker fits my excavator?+

Match breaker weight to 7-12% of your excavator operating weight. For example, a 20-ton excavator needs a 1.4-2.4 ton breaker. You also need the correct mounting bracket, auxiliary flow (L/min), and relief pressure (bar). Send us your machine model and we confirm compatibility for free.

Can I use the same attachment on different excavator brands?+

Yes, with the correct coupler. Most aftermarket attachments use pin-on or quick-coupler interfaces compatible with Cat, Komatsu, Bobcat, Deere, Volvo, Hitachi, and others. The key is matching the carrier weight class, not the brand. We supply mounting kits for all major OEM pin patterns.

What is the minimum order quantity?+

One unit. We do not require bulk purchases. Most customers start with 1-2 attachments to test quality before scaling. For custom-manufactured items, MOQ is also one unit.

How long does delivery take?+

Standard ocean freight: 25-35 days to major ports worldwide plus 3-7 days for final delivery. Air freight: 5-10 days (higher cost). We keep 200+ popular models in ready stock for 48-hour dispatch.

Do I need a quick coupler or can I pin-mount directly?+

Pin-mount is cheaper and more rigid — but you need tools and time to swap attachments. A quick coupler lets you change tools in under 30 seconds from the cab. Hydraulic couplers add 50-150 kg to attachment weight. If you switch between bucket, breaker, and grapple regularly, a coupler pays for itself in saved downtime.

Hydraulic Breakers

How often should I grease the chisel?+

Every 2 hours of operation. Apply grease until it pushes out around the chisel. Do NOT dry-fire the breaker — running without grease destroys the bushing within days. Use lithium-based molybdenum disulfide grease (NLGI #2).

Why does my breaker hit weak or just vibrate?+

Three common causes: (1) Low nitrogen pressure — check and recharge with nitrogen charging kit to spec. (2) Insufficient hydraulic flow — verify your auxiliary circuit is delivering rated L/min. (3) Worn chisel or bushing — inspect for play. If the chisel moves more than 3mm in the bushing, it needs replacement.

How long does a chisel last?+

A quality 42CrMo forged chisel lasts 150-300 operating hours in normal concrete and medium rock. Abrasive granite or heavy demolition may reduce this to 80-120 hours. Rotate the chisel every 40 hours to prevent uneven wear and mushrooming. Replace when the tip diameter wears below 80% of original.

Top-type vs side-type breaker — which is better?+

Neither is universally better — they serve different purposes. Top-type (vertical mount) handles heavier impact and is preferred for quarry and primary demolition. Side-type is lighter and more compact, ideal for mini excavators and tight spaces. Silent/box-type enclosures add noise reduction for urban work.

Can I use a breaker underwater?+

Only with a fully sealed underwater model rated for submersion. Standard breakers will draw water into the piston chamber and fail catastrophically. Our underwater series is rated to 30m depth with dual-seal protection.

Grapples & Material Handlers

Rotating vs fixed grapple — which do I need?+

A rotating grapple saves you repositioning the carrier for every pick. It pays off when you are loading, stacking, or sorting material at different angles. Fixed grapples are simpler, lighter, and cheaper — ideal when the material always comes from the same direction, like a scrap conveyor or production line.

What is the difference between a log grapple and an orange peel grab?+

Log grapples have two parallel tines designed for gripping cylindrical objects like logs and pipes. Orange peel grabs have 4-5 curved tines that close like a flower, designed for bulk loose material like scrap metal, demolition debris, and shredded waste. Using the wrong type reduces grip efficiency by 50%+.

How do I calculate actual lifting capacity with a grapple?+

Subtract the grapple dead weight from your excavator rated lift capacity at the working radius. Example: excavator lifts 2,000 kg at 4m radius. Grapple weighs 580 kg. Actual payload capacity = 2,000 - 580 = 1,420 kg. Always leave a 20% safety margin — so your safe working load is about 1,100 kg.

Shipping, Warranty & Payment

How do you pack heavy attachments for shipping?+

Every attachment is packed in a reinforced plywood crate with desiccant packs and rust-proof coating. Crates are forklift-ready and stackable. We photograph each crate before dispatch and share the images with you. For extra-large items, we use steel frame crating.

What does the 6-month warranty cover?+

Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. This covers premature wear from material flaws, weld failures, hydraulic seal defects under normal use. It does NOT cover: dry-firing without grease, exceeding rated flow/pressure, using wrong chisel type, or impact damage from misuse. Warranty parts are shipped at our cost within 24 hours of claim approval.

What payment methods do you accept?+

T/T (bank wire transfer) — 30% deposit to start production, 70% balance before shipment. L/C (letter of credit) for orders over $10,000. Western Union for sample orders. We also accept Alibaba Trade Assurance for first-time buyers who prefer buyer protection.

Can I visit your factory?+

Yes. Our factory is in Qinhuangdao, Hebei — about 2.5 hours from Beijing by high-speed train. We welcome customer visits and can arrange airport pickup. Contact us at least one week in advance to schedule. We also offer live video factory tours via WhatsApp for customers who cannot travel.

Do you offer OEM / private label manufacturing?+

Yes. We produce attachments with your branding, color scheme, and model numbering. Provide your logo files and label specifications. MOQ for OEM is 5 units per model. Lead time: 25-35 working days plus shipping.

Spare Parts & Maintenance

Do you sell spare parts separately?+

Yes. We stock chisels, seal kits, through bolts, pistons, bushings, diaphragms, accumulators, and front heads for all breaker models. Spare parts ship within 48 hours. We also supply wear parts for grapples — pins, bushings, cylinder seal kits, and rotation motor assemblies.

How do I identify which spare part I need?+

Send us a photo of the worn part with measurements (if possible) and your breaker model number. Our engineers will identify the correct replacement. Most parts are cross-compatible with major OEM brands — we can confirm interchange with OEM part numbers.

What is the most commonly replaced breaker part?+

Chisels are replaced most frequently (every 150-300 hours). Second is the front bushing, which wears from side loading and dry firing. Third is the seal kit — hydraulic seals degrade over 1,000-2,000 hours depending on operating temperature and contamination levels. We recommend keeping one spare chisel and one seal kit on hand per breaker to minimize downtime.
